2. What a notice needs
A notice must have all 6 of these:
- Your signature. Typing your full name is enough.
- The work you own. Say what it is.
- The exact link to the copy on AiCodeJobs.
- Your name, mailing address, phone and email.
- A statement that you believe, in good faith, that the use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate. And, under penalty of perjury, that you own the right or may act for the owner.
Use our notice form. It asks for all 6. Or email the agent.
Do not send a false notice. Under US law (17 U.S.C. 512(f)), you may have to pay damages and legal fees.
3. What happens next
- We confirm we got your notice.
- A person reviews it. If something is missing, we ask you.
- If it is valid, we hide the content. We do not delete it.
- We tell the member who posted it, and give them your name and email.
- We tell you what we decided.
4. Counter-notices
Think we removed your content by mistake? Send a counter-notice. Go to Dashboard, Copyright, or email the agent.
It needs:
- Your name, mailing address, phone and email.
- What was removed. We already know this when you use the dashboard.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake.
- Your consent to the US federal court for your address. Outside the US, any district where we can be found. You also agree to accept legal papers from the person who complained.
- Your signature. Typing your full name is enough.
Warning: we must send your name, address and phone to the person who complained.
We put the content back 11 US business days after we get it. We do not, if they show us first that they filed a court action against you.
5. Repeat infringers
- 1 valid notice is 1 strike, however many items it names.
- 3 strikes in 12 months: a person reviews the account for a ban.
- A retraction or a successful counter-notice removes the strike.
- Strike counts do not reset when a ban ends.
6. Changed your mind?
Email from the same address or company domain you sent the notice from. List the links. We put the content back and remove the strike.
